Watch for teen dd

Dd (15) needs a new watch. She's currently wearing an Ice watch that she's had years and has seen better days.

I offered to buy her one as a birthday present but she says she just wants something cheap-ish she can buy with her own money. She doesn't know what sort of style though.

What watches are teen girls wearing these days?

Seems to be mostly apple watches and Fitbits but they're not cheap obv. DD had a gold watch from HSamuels that was about £40 before she got a Fitbit.

What about Olivia Burton? Mid range but stylish.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 31/01/2018 10:36

During the day, I wear a 'Merry Berry' Swatch watch. It gets lots of compliments, your daughter may like it, take a look.

Don't think she'd like that one sugar sorry and Olivia Burton is much too pricey. Any other cheaper suggestions?

My 14 yo wanted Olivia Burton but she has one like this (from her boyfriend) that she loves www.watchshop.com/ladies-lipsy-watch-lp100-p99950105.html

Not designer obviously but if you have a decent sized New Look nearby they usually have very reasonably priced on trend watches. (Think Michael Kors-ish/Olivia burton-ish 'dupes') - there's a few online www.newlook.com/uk/womens/accessories/jewellery/watches/c/uk-womens-accessories-jewellery-watches. Or Asos have loads similar, just filter by price low-high to see the cheaper ones. Good luck with the search!

I'm a big fan of Swatch watches. My one cost £38 pounds and I've had it for the past 4 years with no problems. You could have a look here.

I like the radley one:

Or the superdry one which is simple:

What about something from Top Shop?

NorthernLightsAlways · 31/01/2018 12:50

what about these? I reckon this brand is aimed at older teens/young adults.

I reckon this one is pretty funky (but then I’m not fifteen any more, chiz, chiz).

Hoppinggreen · 31/01/2018 14:56

Mine has a Fitbit but prefers her swatch

LIZS · 31/01/2018 14:57

Dd wears a white swatch.

goose1964 · 31/01/2018 21:53

Swatch for some really fun watches, when I was her age I had on that was anti clockwise rather than clockwise

Dancergirl · 01/02/2018 21:14

Thanks, will look at swatch. I loved my swatch watch in the 80s!

New Look had some nice watches in for under £20.
