Timeless designer bag

So my days of spending a lot of money on handbags disappeared after having my DS, however I have a big birthday coming up that I'd like to ask for a new bag for.
I want a gorgeous bag that will also last a good few years without looking dated.
Any suggestions? Thanks

What sort of bag do you use, though? Top handle work type bags? Totes? Shoulder bags? Another question to consider is how much care you take of your bags (for example I can't be a slave to material things, I put my bags on the floor, don't store them in dust bags etc, so I never get bags that are very soft leather).

If you can take care of it, a fendi peekaboo is nice, else a BV tote or a celine tri fold (as you can tell I don't like big logos). If you want durable leather I found prada's saffiano leather is the best though.

Echo the budget question. Are we talking hermes/chanel or mulberry?

I've got a few but my favourite is my Mulberry messenger. I got it for Christmas after my first baby she's almost four and I use it every day it's just the right size and I think looks timeless. It's not a evening bag tho but now I've got kids I rarely get togo out on an evening 😀

Ah sorry, I rushed this post whilst in work.
I really want to say four figures but realistically I need to say three!
Also, I'm open to different styles, just a smart casual daytime bag. Not crossbody ideally xx

Also check out Bally and Tod's, they have very well-made bags at lower price points.

The MCM Milla in Phantom Grey is a great classic bag, absolutely fantastic quality and a better price than most comparable bags.
