Where do you shop?

I’m in need of an overhaul and whilst I’d love to wear brands like All Saints, the Kooples etc, I’ve accepted they don’t work for my shape..

I'm 5 foot and hour glass , I wear Topshop Jamie jeans and plain thin knit jumpers or waisted dresses and tights / ankle boots .

I tend to shop in Dorothy Perkins- their dresses and stretchy jeans allow for the junk in my trunk, and they tend to have a 'proper' waist. Their skater dresses tend to have the waist just under the bust area instead of around the navel which suits me, as I'm quite bell-shaped

I'm a former pear (now more hourglass due to bf) and 5'5", I actually shopped at kooples and all saints a lot pre baby when I had more money to throw around. All saints boxy jumpers balance out a pear shape and look good with high waisted skinny cut dark denim. Kooples tea dresses flare at the waist showing the smallest bit while skimming over larger bum/hips.

Most brands do a variety of shapes and cuts of clothes so don't dismiss a whole brand as not suiting you! You just need to learn what silhouettes suit your figure and cherry pick pieces that work from brands whose aesthetic you like.

I find all saints and kooples doesn’t hang right on me - I’ve got a gorgeous bat wing slouchy sweater that looks like a bag when I wear it but my tall, lean, skinny friend looks amazing in it.

I wear a lot of topshop Leigh or RI Molly leggings type jeans - I like them super close fitting.

Dresses sound nice but I’m not sure they’re very ‘me’ (I’m not sure what ‘me’ is)

Has anyone had a stylist type appointment to help them dress their shape and find a style that suits them?

Karen Millen! Their dresses are cut for women with smaller waists and bigger hips! Also Oasis.

Oasis is lovely, I used to shop there a bit before the fabrics all went a bit cheap.

Karen Millen is definitely not my style, it’s too ‘smart’
