I'm a size 8, wide foot, where is the best place to buy ballet pumps?

Nowhere. Really bad for feet and make you waddle.

SleepingInYourFlowerbed · 29/01/2018 16:06

What do you mean by ballet flats? Because it can mean a specific type or a whole range of flat shoes.

eggofmantumbi · 29/01/2018 16:09

New look do wide fitting ones

SleepingInYourFlowerbed · 29/01/2018 16:11

I have these and they are really comfortable but not sure if they are what you are looking for. www.toms.co.uk/new-arrivals/black-suede-diamond-embossed-womens-jutti-flats

FannyTheFlamingo · 29/01/2018 16:18

If you want a good pair that don't hurt, make you waddle or break, I think you need to spend a bit extra. I'd recommend French Sole or Michael Kors.

Somanyshoes · 29/01/2018 16:22

French Sole have a massive selection and types for all kinds of foot size. Have a look on www.frenchsole.com

sourpatchkid · 29/01/2018 21:46

Depends whether you want decent ones or not. Primary are brilliant for cheap ones as are Asda

onetwothreefour5 · 03/02/2018 10:19

Thank you I've been looking at French sole but all the descriptions say they suit a narrow to medium foot. Am I missing their ones for wide feet?

onetwothreefour5 · 03/02/2018 10:20

I like those tom ones they would be fine x

Ollivander84 · 03/02/2018 11:12

I really like Skechers cleo ones. Memory foam and mega comfy, think they have some in wide fit too

CallarMorvern · 03/02/2018 13:49

I'm a wide 8/9 and the Toms Jutti have stitching with no give, around the front, which I found too tight on my wide foot. I actually picked up a pair (suede) cheaply in TKMaxx, so tried snipping the stitching off on one side, so I could stretch them a little, this worked well. Wouldn't want to risk it on £60 shoes though.
Other than that I've yet to find a pair of ballet type flats, that are comfortable.

CallarMorvern · 03/02/2018 13:53

Oh and Sketchers size 8 is a EU41 not a 42, if that's an issue.

BeatyBeast · 03/02/2018 13:53

Birkenstock do one

0ccamsRazor · 03/02/2018 13:59

Pikolinos and Earth Spirit do lovely comfy ballet flats.

onetwothreefour5 · 05/02/2018 21:48

Thanks hmm I can't believe they're so hard to find, I just want a decent non grumpy leather ballet pump...

WillowySnicket · 05/02/2018 22:15

I love the (probably quite old) topshop range. I bought loads of them as they were the first comfy ones I'd had. I still love them, 5 years on!

LadyLapsang · 05/02/2018 22:28

Gabor Zara are pretty big - I'm normally an 8 and would only be 7.5 in Gabor. Pretty ballerinas are wider than French Sole. You could also Peter Hahn and the Natural Shoe Store.

Fintress · 05/02/2018 22:30

Toms are really narrow fitting, I have a couple of pairs. I also had to go up a size too.

onetwothreefour5 · 05/02/2018 22:47

Thank you, are the Gabor Ines abbot "granny" dyou think? I'm late 30's but they do look comfy...

onetwothreefour5 · 05/02/2018 22:48
  • are the Gabor ones a bit
LadyLapsang · 06/02/2018 21:01

Or what about Camper?

EmpireVille · 07/02/2018 01:00

Ballet flats don't look great on wide feet.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 07/02/2018 07:45

Op have you NC?

UnarmedKoala · 07/02/2018 08:01

I have the Gabor glitz which are really comfy
