Bathing Suit with Longer Shorts to Cover the Bikini Area?

AnaViaSalamanca · 29/01/2018 14:25

Any recommendations for a more "modest" one that covers the bikini area? Ideally if it can cover until mid-thigh I would be very happy.

I have had an injured back and excruciating pain for the past month or so and have to swim. I normally don't go to pools and my other bathing suits for beach holidays are quite skimpy. I can't keep up with the waxing appointments in my current state.

I've got a Slazenger Tankini and a Speedo one, although they're not as long as mid-thigh. They are great - go for a a top and shorts one and you can go to the loo more easily, rather than having to wriggle out of a complete suit.

Look for 'tri-suits'; I've got Slazenger ones. They're shorter than mid-thigh but definitely cover the bikini wax area. Try Amazon and Sports Direct.

If you search on eBay for 'modest' swimwear lots of options come up - some are full body coverage but others are just longer in the leg.

AllButterShortbread · 29/01/2018 14:39

Or search for “boy leg” swimsuits.

I have this one. It's only cheap but I swim 5 days a week at least a mile a day and it serves me well. Even has an underwire.

Have a look at Rosewe.com.

Sainsbury's had lovely swimsuits with little skirts and not too expensive.

CMOTDibbler · 29/01/2018 15:38

I wear the boy leg Slazenger costumes from Sports Direct

AllButterShortbread · 29/01/2018 15:41

That’s really nice PorklessPie.

Havingahorridtime · 29/01/2018 15:47

Decathlon sell a variety of them - starting at around £12. I always buy them because I am too lazy to maintain a neat bikini line.

ElfrideSwancourt · 29/01/2018 16:17

@PorklessPie thank you for that- I've just ordered one for my hols Smile

Honestly it's a lovely swimsuit, mine is over a year old and still going strong and that's with me swimming 5 days a week and taking the children to the water park most weeks. I get lots of complements and it's got a double layer on the stomach so really sucks you in Smile.

Thanks! I ordered the amazon one. It looks very flattering too!

I ordered a swim dress from amazon which has a little ruffly frill at the bottom and also shorts inbuilt. It was surprisingly lovely and had so many compliments on it. Was a nautical style, red, navy and white stripes, halter neck. And less than £20!
Also bought what looked like a really
Pretty white swim dress with little colourful birds on it. Only I didn’t check it out thoroughly enough and when it arrived, it had a lattice style back Shock
Did not look good with my modest amount of backfat! Although it’s obviously still sat in the cupboard waiting to be sent back (4 months later, AKA never Grin )

MojoMoon · 29/01/2018 21:32

You could look at surf shorts as well.

HerBigChance · 29/01/2018 21:46

That one looks great, Porkless. I might order one....

Furball · 29/01/2018 21:52

M & S have this one with shorts

or this one with skirt

Grrrrinch · 30/01/2018 00:38
