Help!
As a teen I had spots and greasy skin, not really acne just lots of blackheads and blemishes. It got better and my skin was not great but not awful through my 20's and 30's. I kept it clean, used sunblock now and then, and that was about it.
Since turning 40 (46 now) my skin has been a nightmare! I started getting huge. Cystic spots in my chin, forehead and just to the side of my nose every month around ovulation time: I could almost feel the oil oozing from my pores each month! I treated it with Cetaphil cleanser and Effaclar duo, as recommended on here. It worked a treat and my skin was good for about a year.
Two years ago I developed what I now know is rosacea. My nose is very red, itchy and constantly has little white pimples on it. Ditto the area of my forehead between my eyes. It took my a while to realize this, and to stop using the Effaclar on it, and i think it made the rosacea worse. I've started using Dermalex cream, but I don't know if it's the right stuff for the pimples.
The problem now is that I'm now getting big monthly cystic spots on my forehead AND the rosacea in the same area. I don't know what products to use ! Plus every time I pluck my eyebrows, I get spots wherever I've removed a hair. It's a mess.
Help!how do I treat combination skin, and get rid of these horrible spots / redness etc?
