Ugg leather boots- worth the money?

I’ve been coveting some ugg leather boots. But the are £££ - even in the sale. I don’t mean the suede ones that were everywhere a few years ago. I mean the actual leather boots ones.

It’d be the most I’ve ever spent on boots, but if they’re likely to wear well and last then I’m very tempted.

Anyone had any? We’re they worth it?

I've got some burgundy Ugg leather ankle boots - they are fantastic and are lasting really well. They are sheepskin lined. I love them, highly impressed...

I have the Simmens boots in brown and black and absolutely love them. I also have a pair of the Wilcox that were last year's MN boot de jour, and they are great as well. I also have a couple of pairs of the waterproof suede 'urban' version of the classic ones.

In terms of comfort and quality they are excellent IMO. I am far too old to ever wear anything that isn't completely comfortable (well, I will make an exception for a new pair of DM's but that is in the knowledge that they need wearing in!!). Uggs are well made, and are a good solid boot, not a flimsy fashion item.

I don't have a pair (vegan) but my sister in law swears by hers, she has had them 3 years and they look as good as new and she wears them all the time, good for walking, warm and comfy.

I have a 9 year old pair of uggs that I still wear.

I've got a black leather knee high pair in biker style and they are fab. Lined with sheepskin so when I'm standing in the park with my toddler I still have toasty feet! Plus they look good too. I've only had mine about 3 months but they seem well made and sturdy.

I had some-they lasted years and were great. I can't afford to replace them :(

I've been eyeing up the Bonham Ugg boots, I think they're lovely. Might treat myself if they do last a while!

SouthWestmom · 28/01/2018 16:52

I have UGGS mid calf and ankle boots in leather (and slippers and flip flops and furry boots...) and I love them - they last and look really nice and are v comfortable

MsGameandWatching · 28/01/2018 16:52

Yes. I've been wearing mine for five years and they still look good.

I got some Wilcox Ugg boots in the sale last year. They are good quality and super cosy, but to be honest I feel they look a bit frumpy and well like Ugg boots. On reflection I think I just wanted to like them because they were a bargain and should have returned them - they have been relegated to just cold weather outdoor boots.

Squirrelfruitandnutkin · 28/01/2018 18:55

Ooooooh I think I’m sold on them. 😀 Will have another proper look online once kids in bed. Then maybe get the credit card out!

Pffffffffffffft

I ordered some, they arrived and they’ve got that soft sort of spongy foam soles. Which will end up worn down by pavements in no time. They’re moulded to look much more sturdy, but I can squash the corner of the heel with my thumb. Hmm
Not £132 worth of boot imo. They’re going back.

I had them, they lasted just under a year. I've never bought another pair. Ugg said it was general wear and tear but gave me another pair as they were still under warranty. They didn't last either so Im not buying them again.

Lancelottie · 30/01/2018 12:13

Ah, shame - I was coming on to join the chorus of (mostly) yes, get them. But mine are Wilcox boots and frumpy is my preferred look anyway.
