Natural looking nail varnish

I have always bitten the skin around my nails but realised `i have not done it much recently and want to take care of my nails more.

They are fairly short and break easily. What could `i use to make them look nice and also maybe strengthen them and stop me chewing on the sides as I know that would stop me.

Also, what is the best remover to use that wont damage them?

Try Dior nail glow

Thank you, it sounds nice but expensive! Is there a cheaper dupe around?

I used to use Sally Hanson Hard as Nails in my youth when strengthening my previously bitten nails. It's clear and makes the naila look healthy and is a high street price.

Have a look at OPI Nail Envy in either Pink to Envy, a clear pink similar to Dior Nail Glow (which is fabulous, by the way, and well worth the price) or Bubble Bath, a pale pink similar to Chanel Ballerina. Very pretty.

It's expensive to buy (about £19 a bottle), but I got some on eBay for a fraction of the price and it's lovely. It's a strengthener and polish at the same time.

They also do a Pro Spa oil, which you massage into your cuticles, so the nail is nourished as it grows out. I've got a similar oil by Jessica and you do see a difference if you use it daily. I don't know if it's the oil per se, or the massaging of the nail growth bed, but whatever it is does work.

I use a non-acetone polish remover as it's less harsh than those with acetone in, I think.

Primark do a lovely nude matte nail varnish .

Barry M mani mask. About £4. Gives nails a lovely natural pink colour. It's matte so either two coats and just leave it or apply a top coat if you want it shiny.

Update, Abby I have just ordered the Pink to Envy from Ebay so will see how that goes for me. Will feel strange as I am not used to wearing nail varnish!
