LVL lashes

Posted this in chat but haven’t had any response yet then realised it would probably do better here!

Can you show me your lashes please, I had mine done today and I’ve never been so disappointed! They don’t look any different, maybe a bit curled up but they most definitely aren’t the long, curled, dark lashes I was expecting!

I had the same with LVL - no pictures as I hated them :( the lady used a shield that was way too small for my eyelashes and they eneded up nearly curling over and making my eyes look so much smaller!

Have you got a picture of yours? x

Pou · 26/01/2018 16:30

A bit blurry but you can see how poor they are! My lower lashes are really long and I asked her to tint them too... you can’t even see them!

Sorry you didn’t like yours either, I’m going on holiday in two months and this was a trial run, glad I did it otherwise I would have been even more disappointed!

This thread is timely. I had mine done yesterday and I am so disappointed because they don’t look any different. I have asked the salon for a refund.

totallyliterally · 26/01/2018 16:56

Apparently the chemicals LVL now used has changed it formulation. I had mine done at my regular salon last year and same issue. No noticeable effect. Previous times it was an amazing change.

Salon now decided to use a different companies products. They re did my lashes for free and I got an amazing expected result.

Contact the salon and complain.

I need to grow some balls, I did a very British “they’re great, thanks ”, paid and ran out.

Are all the photos online fake?

How much did you pay for yours fairie?

That makes sense if they use a different formula.

Maybe I’ll give them a call on Monday and just say I was disappointed with them. I hate complaining though.

I messaged my salon next day and said I was disappointed with the results. They said come in and once they saw them were shocked at how bad they were.

Make sure you tell them you didn't get them wet etc in allocated time

Pou · 26/01/2018 17:01

Thanks totally I’ll definitely speak to them as it seems to be a thing

Just checking you followed 'the rules' re not getting them wet, no steam

fairiedemon · 26/01/2018 17:12

I paid £38 for mine - too much money to waste on what seems to be nowt! My lashes are very dark naturally so I don’t even notice the tint! Sad

fairiedemon · 26/01/2018 17:14

Also it sounds like I was given the wrong aftercare. I was told not to get them wet for the rest of the day but they would be fine tomorrow so it was only 14 hour between getting them done and having a shower. Mind you, I had already complained by then as I was immediately disappointed by the lack of change.

Pou · 26/01/2018 17:58

I had them done at 12pm today, so I haven’t been anywhere. She also said not to get wet today but tomorrow can carry on as normal.

They were useless with me too. I'd never do it again

totallyliterally · 26/01/2018 20:41

It's such a shame as when the LVL worked as they should the results are amazing. Changed my whole face and look.

I'm hoping the salon I used before has now changed to the other brand. Must ring and find out as lashes are nearly straight again.

I had mine done for the second time a couple of weeks ago and they look great. Mind you my lashes were very flat with not much colour beforehand.

Madonnasmum · 26/01/2018 21:37

My salon now uses a different type as the effects were not as good after they changed formula. My first set were amazing but then next set not so good.

Pou · 27/01/2018 14:37

I’ve got an appointment on Monday with the senior lady, let’s see what she has to say! They look quite good with mascara as they look lengthened and curlier, but nothing a eyelash curler couldn’t do.
