Should S&B be split into sections now?

Was having a browse through this topic the other day and noticed that there’s lots of good information here that isn’t easily accessible. Also, similar queries keep coming up time and time again ( curly hair, foundation etc ). Didn’t know whether to put this on site stuff but thought I’d put it here: has this topic become so big that there should be subsections?

For example, there could be:

Hair
Makeup ( maybe foundation needs it’s own section )
Clothes
Footwear
Health
Skincare
Body

Could also be others

Curious to know what other pp thought as to whether you think it would be a good idea?

I quite like a mix. I come on and browse the threads so not really looking to find stuff.

The split topics would be quiet and so everyone would post their S&B questions on AIBU "for traffic".

i like the variety of S&B. it means i read things that i wouldn't ordinarily.

I like the mix but I do wish we could tag or label threads, would be especially helpful to link together long running threads. Also if we're wishlisting, I'd love a 'Done to Death' corner, a bit like classics, as in users can nominate especially useful threads that cover a specific subject that doesn't really require rehashing constanlty but unlike classics, I wouldn't want them moved out of the S&B subforum, just marked differently somehow (colour, star, whatever).

I wouldn’t mind separate ‘style’ and ‘beauty’ topics, that would be quite useful, But I think too many sub topics would dilute it too much.

There already is a clothes section hidden somewhere in talk.

Just to clarify, I actually meant should there be subsections under the S&B banner, not separate sections within MN as a whole!

I’d like a cosmetic surgery/fillers/Botox section. All the threads on those topics start to make me dissatisfied with my own natural ageing process which is not helpful. It normalises it when I don’t think most people actually do have those interventions.

You could split style from beauty, but there are a lot of threads that cover both, the ones about how to look groomed etc.

There's enough sections and sub-sections on MN as it is. S&B ain't broke, so don't fix it.
