I want this colour hair!
I’m a mousey brown kind of colour at the moment... does anyone know if it will only get there with bleach, as to be honest I don’t really wanna bleach it again.... lots of damage done by previous hairdresser- finally a little sleekness to it, but I want a bit of a daring colour! :-)

Oh my god!!!! This colour!!

Pretty cool.

mogloveseggs · 25/01/2018 21:02

Ooh that’s stunning!

DextroDependant · 25/01/2018 21:04

I think you would have to bleach to get there. I have wanted that colour for ages. Try Rubine by Directions.

insertimaginativeusername · 25/01/2018 21:04

Colour is lush but I think hair will need lifting to achieve that.

hungryhippo90 · 25/01/2018 21:04

Isn’t it!! I’ve never had anything daring! I’ve done a LOT of mummy type of hairstyles- I really wanna shake it up!

Or Tulip

Zerosugaroption · 25/01/2018 21:06

Beautiful but it would fade super fast.

hungryhippo90 · 25/01/2018 21:07

My god- tulip is gorgeous!

Argh... I think my hairdresser will kill me if I ask for my hair bleaching!!! I might get away with some highlights that I can put it on though.. that’s an idea!

Really excited now!

I don't think it would need bleaching to a pale yellow, just a few shades lighter but I am far from an expert.

MarklahMarklah · 25/01/2018 21:22

That's lovely!

Frouby · 25/01/2018 21:24

I had a similar colour a few years ago OP. It's fab but very high maintenance. It fades ridiculously quickly and I did have to have my brown hair lifted to get it. I bought temporary colour from the hairdresser which I applied once a week to keep it.looking fresh.

Loved it though. I get married in may and will be brown/blonde highlights for it but might see if I can go that sort of colour after.

Katescurios · 25/01/2018 21:26

Do a test, directions fades quick so either dye a chunk of hair that will be easily covered or chop a bit off then dye it.

StayGoldPonyBoy · 25/01/2018 21:27

I really hate to break this to you, but that girls hair is photoshopped Grin I’m a hairdresser and Pinterest photos of photoshopped bright and pastel hair is the bane of my life Wink it’s so misleading!

You will need to bleach for it to be vibrant. I can vouch for Tulip by Directions, it’s lovely. Depending how dark your base is, if you do the highlights you’ll probably end up with deep purple tinted hair with bright highlights which could work nicely! Mix it into your conditioner every time you wash to make it last longer, it’ll cling to the bleached bits more than your natural hair though and fades to a nice pink.

GumsnNoses · 25/01/2018 21:50

Hey, I have very bright hair, but I have it in big balayage'd sections. So, dark roots and then blending into sections of balayage - with obviously pieces of original hair colour too. I've got the bright hair, but I've not had to bleach the whole head... Plus, no roots to worry about. You could try that?

goose1964 · 25/01/2018 22:46

DD has bright red hair which again needs really careful treatment and fades, but it never fades evenly so she has some from red to her natural blond via various shades of pink and orange. It looks like a really expensive dye job he eldest brother said it reminded him of a cocktail.

So don't write off fading as a bad thing

Glitteryfrog · 26/01/2018 08:42

My hair is almost that colour at the moment!
Live colour - ultra violet (comes in a blue box) Cost about £5 in boots. They do a more pink one too.
I've got ginger/Brown hair and it took really well.

Worieddd · 26/01/2018 08:43

Not normally a fan of weird hair colours but that was is pretty awesome!

I want it too Grin

Mulberrysilk · 26/01/2018 10:04

The whispy bits sticking out don't look quite right. I agree, that's a Photoshop job. That's not what her hair really looks like.

Sleepthief · 26/01/2018 12:51

Virgin Rose by special effects is similar and gorgeous, although, like the other suggestions, it does fade/change quickly. Mine is now neon pink!

IJoinedJustToPostThis · 26/01/2018 12:54

Spend some time at Not Another Salon's Instagram. They pay pictures of amazing coloured hair, but with details of the products, time and prices required to achieve it. Food for thought...

PineappleTits · 26/01/2018 12:56

Directions hair dye in rose red wiLl give you that colour OP. I put it straight on medium brown hair. Beware, it stains EVERYTHING
