Wwyd with these brows?

I have never done more than pluck a few stray hairs from my eyebrows and recently have invested in a little brow kit from Rimmel. Everyone around me puts so much time and effort into their brows but I don't know where to start! I don't want big caterpillar guys but I would like them to look more symmetrical and polished. Literally I need step by step guidance of where to go and what to ask for to achieve this!

Your gap in the middle is too wide

mrsprefect · 25/01/2018 20:55

Sadly I can't alter that! I don't pluck the middle just below.

You can alter it. You can draw them in - just do it subtly and match the colour carefully.

mrsprefect · 25/01/2018 21:01

Any recommendation of a product? I'm worried I will look like I have drawn on my face and everyone will stare at me wondering what I am all about.

Please dont draw them in. It never looks anything but unnatural. Your eyebrows look great. Natural but not wild.

mrsprefect · 25/01/2018 21:07

I definitely don't think I have the skill or the confidence for drawing them in. I was hoping more for something I could get a professional to do ... maybe I just have to resign myself to wonky brows. (Although I prefer your wording @MyOtherProfile Smile)

They look fine. If you can, have an HD brows appointment. I just had a couple to help me with shaping then took over myself. They are pretty natural. These aren't mine but are an example

I like your brows. Leave them alone

mrsprefect · 25/01/2018 21:09

Ah ha! That's what I am after @DrRanjsRightEyebrow! Thank you. The name put me off when I looked at treatments (made me think they would be all dark and scary) but these pictures are more like it.

It's about the stylist. Some are better than others so stalk their photos first. I know an awesome one in Bristol if you are anywhere near! Grin

mrsprefect · 25/01/2018 21:11

Thanks @BreakfastAtSquiffanys. I just feel a bit unpolished if that makes sense. I'd like to be a bit more sophisticated looking.

mrsprefect · 25/01/2018 21:12

Nowhere near Bristol sadly. I will ask for local recommendations now that I know what to ask for!

That's exactly what I need so am watching this with interest. The before and after photos are great @DrRanjsRightEyebrow

earlybirdhasanap · 25/01/2018 21:51

Your eyebrows look great. They are a nice shape. I'd say if you wanted a slightly more finished look without looking like you've gone overboard to use the benefit gimme brow or something similar.

mrsprefect · 25/01/2018 22:11

I like the look of that very much @earlybirdhasanap

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 25/01/2018 22:13

Eyebrows are pretty good. Do you pluck the bit nearest your nose? When I trained as a beautician (but a few years ago now, and I realise trends change) we were taught the ideal length of a brow was for the side of the eyebrow nearest to your nose to be in line with the edge of the nose. Yours are slightly shorter than that, but that might be natural.

Fosterdog123 · 25/01/2018 23:12

When I said draw them on, I didn't mean in felt tip! I meant with a proper product that makes them look just like drs picture!

SuburbanRhonda · 25/01/2018 23:17

DrRanj

The “after” eyebrows look great but the mascara is an abomination Shock

Usernameclanger · 25/01/2018 23:21

Just snorted at the mascara is an abomination 😂😂😂

mrsprefect · 25/01/2018 23:25

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants, no I honestly just pluck a few stray ones underneath so the length is natural.

I didn't even notice the mascara in @DrRanj's pics I suppose you can't have everything nailed!

@Fosterdog123 my fear is that my inexpert hand will make any drawing on look like feet tip! Might have to live with them being short but hopefully a bit snazzier.

i like your eyebrows, I don't think you need to do much to be honest. They look nice and natural.

WanderingTrolley1 · 25/01/2018 23:56

Your eyebrows look good as they are.

mrsprefect · 26/01/2018 01:33

Thanks @wontonsoup and @WanderingTrolley1. Nice to know that people in general don't think I look feral!

Your eyebrows are fine! If you want a natural pencil to try, I've recently discovered Stila's twist-up pencil. It's fabulous and very natural, last ages.

You've got gorgeous eyelashes!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 26/01/2018 07:37

HD brows and thick drawn in brows only look good in photos or on stage, if that. It’s time this trend went away.

Try something temporary, there are millions of brow products out there.
