Exfoliating powder rec please?

Could anyone recommend a powder exfoliant please? I'm gutted that the 'indeed labs' one I've been using has been discontinued. I've just bought an m&s one but it's nowhere near as good. Was hoping to not have to pay as much as dermatalogica prices, although I know they make one. Thanks

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is pricey but amazing.

I bought the Waitrose Pure one and it's great. Although I have never used a powder one before so have nothing to compare it to. My face feels smooth, blackheads are fewer and it doesn't dry my skin or cause any tightness.

There's one by a Japanese brand called DHC. I had a sample sachet and it's very like the Dermologica. Don't know how much, but Escentual sell it online. The DHC oil cleanser is a good dupe for the Dermologica pre-cleanse, and about half the price.

The Waitrose pure is good but a lot more textured that the dermalogica so you just need to be a bit gentler with it. I have eczema prone skin tho and didn’t have any reaction to it.

I know it is probably the wrong thing to do, but I just use a little bit of baking powder in with my normal cleanser and it works really well (and is dirt cheap!). I have very sensitive skin, am prone to eczema and tend to be allergic to most things but this fine.

Another vote for the Waitrose pure one.

Thanks very much for the recommendations. I had no idea Waitrose did one but annoyingly the nearest Waitrose is about 30miles away. Yes 'silly' I've done the bicarb in cleanser thing and it was fabulous in my 20s, but I'm pushing 40 now and my skin's too sensitive for it with joys like rosacea kicking in. I'm gonna have a look at escentuals and maybe accept I've got to splash out. The indeed one was so creamy and gentle with lactic and hyrolonic (sp) acids in it. Sods law that it's discontinued

Marks and Spencer do one in their formula range. Think it has lactic and salicylic acids in. I've only been using it a week but I'm impressed so far.

pecky that's the one I've just bought and I'm finding it a bit scratchy compared to the Indeed one. Would be fine for someone with a different skintype though I'm sure.

I've seen something by Biore (not tried it though) thats a Sodium Bicarb base so it would be foamy / buffy?

There is a few indeed ones on eBay.

The Biore one is weird - I feel like my face is still greasy after I've used it.

The Waitrose Pure one felt like talcum powder and make my skin irritated, but my friend loves it.

YOu got me thinking about bicarb not being the best so I bought the waitrose ones at the weekend and they are a) only £3 and b) lovely! It be worth a trip to stock up on lots!

yes it is quite, although I have been mixing it in with my usual cleanser and not using it on its own so caveat emptor. If you like a really scrubby scrub then this is not it. It is very gentle but I haven't reacted at all yet, and by day 2 I usually have. Also the pot is one of those spice type pots - so a lid with holes in, which makes it easy to get a small amount out without much mess. I always threw bicarb over half the bathroom trying to get a small amount...
