Hello,

I would be so happy if you help me find the colors/make up that are right for me.
I have milky skin, red hair (colored brown) and hazel eyes. Unfortunately I do not have good skin. I have freckles and red spots (not a rash).
Unfortunately am relatively flat chested and have a skinny face (but I am normal weight. I do not know why it is like this). I would love to have fuller cheeks/a meatier face. I have high cheekbones, which causes a shadow on my face.

I do not wear a lot of makeup because I did not find any that does not look artificial on me, typically only bright red lipstick.

Clothes: I would like to wear bright colors and black but it does not look good on me. I have been told browns and pastels do look good on me so I wear them a lot but i am not to happy with them.

Thanks for reading.

So i am searching for a look/colors that make me look less skinny and more exiting. I am looking for more lively colors but unfortunately black and bright colors make me look like a waif. :(

Tbh you sound beautiful. I suspect confidence might be the problem rather than style.
Perhaps looks into getting your colours done.

Thank you very much. Actually I am not happy with the way I look because I would love to look more female and lively/exiting.
I am actually a lively person. Actually I had another woman telling me she thought I was a bore when she first met me cause of the way I looked and was surprised to discover I was actually lively.

I had my 'colours done' 12 years ago and haven't looked back. My hair and skin were analysed and my 'best' colours decided upon. When I go shopping now I take my colour swatch with me. It's so easy!!

I had my colours done with House of Colour but there is also Colour Me Beautiful that I know of. Look at their websites for prices and locations. It's not cheap but it literally changed my life. Good luck!

Sounds great! Could you tell me more about it?

I'd love to!

I went to the lady's house and spent the morning choosing the correct colours for me. This involves laying different coloured 'scaves' around you to see which ones suit you best. I ended up being a Summer, so pastel, pinks, purples, soft blues and greens. No black or white! Unfortunately, my staple office wear was black trousers and white blouses...

Anyway, I went the whole hog and had my 'image' done at the same time, which involved answering lots of questions about myself, my personality etc. I ended up being a 'Natural Romantic' which means that my clothes should be ruffled, frilled, natural materials, lacy, wooly, layered etc.

Interestingly, she asked me to take some of my clothes with me: one that I knew suited me and one I liked but didn't quite suit me, though I didn't know why. The one that suited me was a pale pink T shirt with ribbons in satin and velvet running down it - the colour was right and the textures were right. The other item was a very expensive Liberty print blouse with my favourite pattern. The lady pointed out that with my naturally very curly hair, any pattern is too much. Sadly, all my pretty floral blouses had to go...

I have slowly replaced my wardobe over the years and now I have muted colours, gathers, folds, frills and when I go shopping, it takes the decision making out of it. Is the colour right? Will the style suit me and then, does it fit? Easy.

Good luck!

I can't wear typical 'nude' lipsticks as they make me look like a corpse, a rosy pink is much better.

Your description of your natural hair colour and eyes sounds like you have warm colouring. Have a look on Pinterest for Autumn or Spring colours and go from there!
