I bought them in the topshop sale today but I’m not 100% sure about them. If yay what would you wear with them?

Yay or nay to these trousers?
OP posts:
TimbuktuTimbuktu · 25/01/2018 19:03

I'm a nay I think.

But if yah I would pair with something quite plain

hugoagogo · 25/01/2018 19:05

I think those trousers were in the sale for a reason.

Confusedwife84 · 25/01/2018 19:05

Are they cropped? I like them, a tucked in crisp white blouse and a high heel, black probably!

Mammatron · 25/01/2018 19:06

I think they’d be really nice for work with a black polo neck and oxblood loafers!

Madbengalmum · 25/01/2018 19:07

Nay from me

c75kp0r · 25/01/2018 19:11

Crisp shirt or polo neck and jobs a good Un or a soft jumper in pale yellow to match the stripe in the trousers
Agree with pp about oxblood or black patent shoes

Ploppymoodypants · 25/01/2018 19:11

I love them. Send them to me if you change your mind about them !
I agree nice for work with slim fit polo neck tucked in (plain ) and loafers or a heel.

TournesolsetLavande · 25/01/2018 19:13

They'd look fabulous with a crisp white shirt open necked shirt on a skeletal catwalk model.

On everyone else, not so much.

MikeUniformMike · 25/01/2018 19:16

It depends what they look like on. I'd go for black jersey or white shirt and brogues. I think if you like them you should wear them lots.

Floisme · 25/01/2018 19:21

I think my legs are probably too short to carry off that check pattern but I love that wideleg, slightly pleated shape. I'd wear with brogues and a shirt (but not white).

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 25/01/2018 19:43

I like them-think modern classic with a twist...

TinselAngel · 25/01/2018 19:55

Rupert. Rupert the Bear...

Mandelinka · 25/01/2018 23:54

I would style them with chunky black slouchy jumper

ICJump · 26/01/2018 00:23

Love them

Farfel · 26/01/2018 00:41

Yay from me, I love them.

Rupert the Bear? Shock To me, they're Cissy Meldrum. Which is how I'd wear them too, if I had the courage (and the physique)

Mercurial123 · 26/01/2018 05:32

I really like them.

omBreROSE · 26/01/2018 06:09

Do you golf at the weekends?

cod · 26/01/2018 06:19

Lol at crisp short cliche.

BikeRunSki · 26/01/2018 06:24

I like them, but obmy if they fit well enough that the lines hang properly and don’t get pulled out of line.

Dancinggoat · 26/01/2018 06:28

I love them. A soft thin jumper that is waist length. Crisp shirt. Or even a long line cardi over a little top. Are they cropped.

goose1964 · 26/01/2018 21:35

I have pyjamas like this

Bluntness100 · 26/01/2018 21:38

My first thought was Rupert, Rupert the bear too. I see someone else had the same song flash through their head.

Not for me op. I think if you're a six foot, size eight fashionista you could pull them off. The rest of us would look like Rupert the bear.

As a pp said, there is a reason they are in the sale.

Trills · 26/01/2018 21:41

How long are they?

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 26/01/2018 21:48

DD 2 is impossibly stylish and she has these exact trousers! She’s 14 and has more style than I’ve ever had! She wears hers with a (fairly expensive) plain white t shirt, tucked in, and chunky silver loafers. They look fab

Scabetty · 26/01/2018 23:09

I have bought almost exact dame grom H&M. Wore them today with tan low heeled boots and beigey polo neck. Teenagers let me leave the house in that combo so must have been ok.
