Boots - In the end, what is in, and what is outdated?

So, inspired by the thread asking about the knee highs and skinnies, it seemed that they are not the hottest boots you can have. And then it seems that even some ankle boots are not that exciting (described as mumsy).

What are the good boots to wear?

Comfortable ones. That beats everything.

I have seen quite a few people (who aren't fashionista types) out and about in knee length boots recently, these looked nice. Not on the outside of skinnies though, more with skirts.

I’d say I’m quite fashionable, and ankle boots are still the in boot IMO. I like Ash for ankle boots, the Topshop Alfie’s are nice, also the kick ones. Office have loads of nice ankle boots too.

It seems to be over the knee or ankles atm.

I like wearing my New Look ankle boots - grey with fake fur trim & chunky sole with heel.

I hadn't worn knee boots for several years but I think they're starting to look good again. I wouldn't wear them with skinnies but I've gone back to them with midi length skirts.

I'm still all about ankle but I prefer my pair that comes higher up over the ankle bone to lower cut ones. Flat. Think the low-mid heel like Acne Pistols looks a bit basic now but that might be because I am tall and have a low pain threshold.
