What's Shein Quality Like?

Both DDs have been raving about Shein.co.uk. I've had a quick look at the stuff looks good but is dirt cheap. I'm loath to order anything for them until I know what the quality is like?

But I've already spotted a grey, sequined jumper on there which is identical to one from Zara, and also a dress which is identical to Zara's too. So, I'm guessing they use the same factories/designs?

I've only ever heard terrible things about it. Awful customer service and eBay quality clothes.

PaperdollCartoon · 23/01/2018 22:09

Awful. Ordered a few things a few years ago and never wore them because they were like plastic. Stuck them in the back of the wardrobe for a few months until I binned them, too crap to give away. Weirdly tiny and straight sizes as well, designed for an Asian bodytype

traumwerk · 23/01/2018 22:09

Sorry - I also meant to say, have a look on Trust Pilot at the reviews for the company.

PaperdollCartoon · 23/01/2018 22:10

They ‘copy’ things in the loosest way possible, what arrives won’t look like the site picture

simonthedog · 23/01/2018 22:12

I ordered three jumpers recently in a large. One of them is okay but the other two are so small that my average size 10 year old DD is wearing them.

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 23/01/2018 22:16

They look so nice but way too cheap to be trusted. Shame because the jumpers really do look good!

Lilonetwo · 23/01/2018 22:22

I have ordered a few things from them. A bit hit and miss. A few really fab items and much better quality than Chinese eBay clothing.

TheOtherGirl · 23/01/2018 22:46

The Zara dress and jumper dupes do look identical though?

PaperdollCartoon · 23/01/2018 22:49

Yes but it’s unlikely they’ll look like that when they arrive. Spend a bit more and get better quality that will last.

TheOtherGirl · 23/01/2018 22:50

It does seem too good to be true.

I love shein, fast tracked delivery and the items I have ordered are lovely.

JMAngel1 · 24/01/2018 11:38

I love Shein but I am tiny - 5 foot 3 and size 6-8. Most of the clothes I get compliments on are from there.

PorklessPie · 24/01/2018 11:49

I'm the same, 5ft 2 petite with size 3 feet. I love shein and happily tell people when they ask where the clothes are from and how cheap they are.

Juaneeze · 24/01/2018 14:50

My experience with them was shocking! I ordered presents for Christmas and they arrived with an odd smell and with holes in. The sizes were also way off. I checked their size guide and it said they come up small so ordered an extra large that my size 10 frame couldn't fit. The returns process was a real ball ache too.

I would avoid if possible as the quality wasn't great...scratchy and see through

TwinklyGiraffe · 24/01/2018 15:11

Don’t order from them!

Lilonetwo · 24/01/2018 16:25

Oh yes I should have said the sizes are off. (It's made in China) Everything comes up at least a size smaller than expected. So definitely upsize

Dancergirl · 24/01/2018 16:50

Dd has bought from them and we've found it ok.

peanutbutter310 · 24/01/2018 17:25

Awful. Of the four tops I bought none looked like the picture and only one was wearable.

Teach me to get sucked into a bargain!
