Help needed for new office wear

Hi MNers. I currently work from home nearly all the time, but for various reasons, I am considering a new job where I will be in the office a lot more. Where do people buy work clothes from these days? I am 45, slim, and live in jeans and tops at home.

I have to do quite a lot of walking to get the railway station so wear trainers and take shoes with me. I feel uncomfortable in a dress so nearly always wear trousers, occasionally a skirt (more often in summer).

Where can I look for flattering workwear, it doesn't have to be smart office suits, but smarter than jeans. At the moment I buy the majority of my clothes in Crew. Phase Eight, Fat Face, White Stuff and Seasalt.

I'm starting a new job on Monday Smile
I went with the hush jersey ruched skirt, and a pair of skinny trousers from m&s until I see what other people are wearing! Got some flat shoes and some heels, loads of basic tops, dresses and some jackets

Thanks Ollivander. Any other suggestions please?
