Rigid raw denim jeans

I have just bought some rigid raw denim jeans from Arket. No Lycra. I bought two sizes. One fits at the waist but is a little baggy on the hips and thighs. The other fits on hips and thighs, but the waist is super tight.

So my question is, does that sort of denim give and loosen? Or should I go for the bigger size.

It’s so long since I bought denim without Lycra I can’t remember.

IME, this kind of denim does give a bit, but over a relatively long period of time and doesn't give so much around the waist as in other areas. I definitely wouldn't stick with a super tight waist. But that said, the other ones don't sound that great either. Return both and try another brand?
