If you're a fan of mascaras like Lancôme hypnose and benefit roller lash, get yourself some Collection lash surge! It's £3.99 in boots atm. It's very black, gives loads of volume and length! I did the maths, and for 4oz it works out at £2, whilst 4oz of roller lash is 10.50! I actually saw someone mention it on here ages ago, so glad I took a punt!

Oh thanks, i am always after a good Mascara.

youvegottobekidding · 27/03/2018 11:09

I got this at the weekend & it's bloody brilliant! (3.99 in Superdrug at the moment - Boots are doing 3 for 2 mix & match on all cosmetics)

squiz81 · 27/03/2018 12:01

Thanks for the tip. I need a new mascara

JesusTapdancingChrist · 27/03/2018 12:02

It's amazing.

Someone recommended it on here a few months ago and honestly it's the best mascara I've used in years.

MinesaPinot · 27/03/2018 13:28

I looked at this in Superdrug last week. What's the staying power like?

Nicketynac · 27/03/2018 17:53

Does it smudge under eyes? I love a bargain but have v oily eyelids. (Hate tubing mascaras before anyone recommends them - I have tried several and they all flake off)

SpeckledyHen · 27/03/2018 18:08

Thanks for the tip ! What is ' tubing' mascara ? I'm probably being very stupid....

Youradviceneeded · 27/03/2018 18:21

A tubing mascara treats the eyelash as a tube and costs it in fibres. A la benefit they're real or Estée Lauder double wear mascara. I love them as I find that they never smudge.

Flomy · 27/03/2018 18:26

It looks as though it is NOT tested on animals, like Superdrugs make up academy (M.U.A) cosmetics.

SleepFreeZone · 27/03/2018 18:35

I found a lovely cheap mascara in B&M the other week but I went in there for more and of course it’s no longer there. Great to have another recommendation 👍

youvegottobekidding · 27/03/2018 18:55

It seems to be fairing very well as in terms of staying power, I applied it at around 10 am this morning & it's still good at nearly 6.55pm.

I've had no smudging from it either. I haven't tried it on my bottom lashes as yet, as I am totally cack-handed & can never really get the hang of applying mascara to my bottom lashes!

SpeckledyHen · 27/03/2018 21:52

Thank you youradviceneeded

SpeckledyHen · 31/03/2018 07:13

I bought this on this recommendation and it's brilliant . Goes on easily with no clumping . A tiny bit of flaking by the end of the day but no panda eye smudging . Incredible for the price £4.99 on a 3 for 2 deal in Boots

duriandurian · 31/03/2018 07:26

Off topic but is hypnôse still available? I love it and thought it was discontinued. You will have made my Easter if I can buy another overpriced tube!

Tiggytico · 31/03/2018 07:52

Durian; I bought some hypnose from the airport last week and note that still for sale on John Lewis website. Had not heard it was being discontinued. Will try recommendation though next time.

duriandurian · 31/03/2018 07:53

Fantastic. Thank you!

IsAnyoneElseMissingCheese · 31/03/2018 07:54

Brill, I'm shopping for a mascara today and really can't afford a benefit one this month! Will give this a go Grin

Middleoftheroad · 31/03/2018 07:58

I bought a good one from Aldi this week for around the same price. I wasn't expecting much but have been proven wrong.

TeachesOfPeaches · 31/03/2018 08:09

My roller lash is just running out, will give it a go. Thanks OP

Doingreat · 31/03/2018 08:09

Anyone tried the mascaras from primark or poundland? Are they any good? I hardly ever wear mascaras and am only prepared to spend a pound or so on them as they have to be thrown away 3 months after opening.

Roomba · 31/03/2018 08:34

I tried the Poundland one in the pink/salmon coloured tube. It was rubbish - for me at least (I have found some mascaras seem to work better for some people than others do).

I bought the Aldi Lacura 3D effect one recently though, and it is absolutely fantastic! Long, thick eyelashes, not clumpy, didn't smudge. So pleased as I used to have lovely long eyelashes that everyone commented on - at 41 they're so short and fine now Sad. A decent cheap mascara like this is a godsend!

BlancheM · 31/03/2018 08:39

I've tried every high end mascara going (thanks to having short stubby lashes) and the best one I've tried in recent years is from Primark. Can't remember what it's called but it's the one in the gold tube. Amazing stuff

Doingreat · 31/03/2018 08:51

Thanks for the responses Roomba and blanche.

Blance. I would love to know the name of the primark mascara. They have a few in gold packaging. Could you please post a pic or the name in full? Would really appreciate it

youvegottobekidding · 31/03/2018 09:23

I've heard good things about this one as well -

BlancheM · 31/03/2018 10:21

Doingreat sorry, only just seen this. I checked and it's called Amplif-eyed. It was £2 or £3!
