Help me wise people of S&B!

So I have just bought some berry coloured patent loafers that I intend to wear with skirts for work. However, am I going to look like a Grade A plonker if i'm wearing coloured shoes with black tights? I have no idea...i'll let you decide Grin

That works actually. It's not great, but as the shoes are so dark it's fine...I think thr issue comes in when it's a big contrast.

Zxyzoey31 · 22/01/2018 13:13

I wear coloured tights with the same coloured shoes or other coloured shoes and black opaques with coloured shoes. some people on here really need to get a grip. Boring is not the same as style

Oddbutnotodd · 22/01/2018 13:19

I like brown or charcoal tights with burgundy shoes too. They look fine in your photo. Nude would remind me of old teachers!

ThymeLord · 22/01/2018 13:20

They are from Next TheCowWentMoo They have a few colours. I am tempted to order the navy too!

I think it's fine with dark colours (i.e. burgundy) but looks a bit weird with anything too bright/light.

I think navy tights navy shoes is fine.

runningtogetskinny · 22/01/2018 13:23

I think they look lovely! I absolutely HATE nude tights, they make me think of the American tan people (my gran and Mam) wore in the 70s. But then I wear black opaque tights with baby pink dr Marten shoes.....

3littlerabbits · 22/01/2018 13:42

Looks great. Black tights and coloured shoes can look v good.

SparklySeaShell · 22/01/2018 13:46

blueskyinmarch · 22/01/2018 13:50

That looks fine. I wear black tights with burgundy shoes a lot. Never gave it a thought.

Mulberrysilk · 22/01/2018 14:03

Yep. That works.

I think the shoes are from Next, I swear I tried these on the other week but they were a bit narrow for me. Think it was in next.

VivaLeBeaver · 22/01/2018 14:26

X post! Grin

I have a thing for burgundy shoes.

UsernameInvalid66 · 22/01/2018 14:31

I think it's OK if the tights are about 40 denier or less, but wouldn't really work with thicker opaques.

ThymeLord · 22/01/2018 14:38

They have them in wide fit too *Viva. I think it was a longer delivery time for the wide fit though.

Oh I didn’t realise that, will have to get some ordered, thanks.

They look like lovely shoes, and I really like the combination of black and deep red. I wear oxblood, wine and dark red paired with black or grey a lot. It works better with another dark/deep colour than with nude, in my opinion.
