Choosing glasses

I only wear glasses for driving and have one pair which are a few years old. They are thin with invisible frame. Bit dated type that female newsreaders used to wear.

Aside from being unfashionable they irritate me cos thin lense means I can we over top and bottom so I have to look through the lens bit.

I have a heart shaped face and massive nose. The nose makes me not want a heavy geeky frame, but maybe I should accept no glasses will shrink my conk!

What should I look for??

You could go for a frame which is graduated in colour (starts of dark but lightens) or is heavier material wise at the top as this makes a larger frame appear smaller than it is but still gives the benefits of functionality. Something which perhaps has a metal bridge but plastic otherwise is another option. If you have a fringe I would generally stay away from anything oversized as it'll shorten your face and make your nose more prominent. For a heart shaped face I'd avoid anything too rectangular or too circular, anything extreme in terms of shape basically. The best way to see is to try loads on! There is no harm in trying frames from multiple opticians, even just to get an idea of what suits and further advice.
