Does anyone do this; does it provide more coverage etc?

I always do. Thought that's what you were meant to do!

I used to use Estee Laude Double Wear powder foundation on top of Double Wear liquid foundation when I had acne. Great coverage, stayed on all day and kept worst of the oiliness at bay

BluePony · 21/01/2018 20:54

Maybe it is; I remember Lauren Curtis (youtuber) saying not to, but it made sense to do it?

Would that not look a bit caked on? I would have thought you'd be better off with one or the other and then a good concealer x

I recently ran out of translucent powder and had my Bare minerals Pro to hand. I brushed it on top of the Charlotte Tilbury magic foundation and have to say it worked really well. My make up stayed on all day.

I usually wear double wear nude and then put a small amount of double wear powder over the top. I only use a tiny bit but it seems to reduce shine and the foundation does last longer.

i use estee lauder double wear which doesnt really need powder day to day, but nights out etc i use a chanel translucent powder over it

I do. Cheap Boots bought foundation and bare minerals. Looks great, stays on.

I wear EL Double Wear but have to wear powder over or I just look “shiny” as DP likes to point out (I prefer glow...) as I have really oily skin but I think I need to try the double foundation thing!

I’ve seen make up tutorials do that.

It was Mary Greenwell on the Lisa Eldridge channel and she used two foundations on top of each other.
