I just went to Mac and had a makeup lesson. I bought the bits that I liked (eyeshadow, eyeliner, nice subtle false lashes) but not the bits that I didn’t (foundation and concealer, blusher, lipstick)

I then went to other beauty counters for advice about foundation (but didn’t find one I actually liked in the end, so just used a primer, concealer and some powder) and used products I already had and trusted for the rest.

I ended up looking just like me, but having taken more care with my makeup! Which was what I wanted for my fairly casual wedding.

Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation (full coverage) or Makeup Forever's Ultra HD foundations (medium coverage) are good.

I had makeovers at the Bobbi brown and Laura Mercier counters and liked LM better but bought various products from both. What are you looking for? I used Pinterest and instagram for inspiration and watched Lisa Eldridge on YouTube.
