Wellingtons...which?

So after a 2 hour dog walk I have just returned not being able to feel my feet. Enough is enough. I need to invest in some decent Wellies. I currently have some cheap, plastic wellies that are loose, even with thick Wellington socks my feet become damp & freezing.

Can someone please recommend some decent wellies. Preferably warm (with no need to wear extra socks), suitable for slim ankles/legs & good for long walks. Wonder if already lined would be best? I'm not bothered what brand. No more than £60.

Opinions please :)

I have a pair of Gumleaf neoprene lined wellies, and they are fab. I haven't come home with dead toes once!

Thanks Spudlet, I've just had a look but they are a little bit too expensive :/

When they say lined, I presume there's some sort of fleece inside?

Ack, that's a shame. They are worth it, if you are able to save.

They are neoprene lined (so wetsuit material basically) which is what you want to look for, for warm wellies. They reckon you aren't meant to need extra socks with that, but I did size up anyway because I need orthotic insoles and anyway, I get extremely cold feet.

I would avoid Joules wellies, they do stock neoprene ones but I wore some out very quickly with daily dog walks. They are more festival wellies ime.

I have heard good things about Aigle wellies and also Muckboots, these might be over budget at full price, but worth looking to see if you can find a bargain, especially towards the end of winter, perhaps?

I hope you get some soon! Cold feet are the worst.

They’re not the prettiest but I have a pair of justtogs mudruckers that are almost 10 years old and still keep my feet lovely and warm and comfy.

Great I'll have a look for some Neoprenes. Probably not the best time for sales on warm wellies looking at today's weather!

I have some joules ones (black not flowery) and I wear them with fleece welly warmers
Keep my feet dry and toasty during dog walks in all weather
