Fit and Flare Dress just above knee 5'6"

I saw a lovely one in Sainsbury's and bought it in black 14 but was too big and so was the 12 and 10 is out of stock.

Any ideas where I could find something similar for everyday but smart as well, not necessarily black, any colour or pattern.

I usually wear jeggings or leggings but fancy a change into dresses with tights.

I am not very keen on the Boden type dresses.

Thank you

What does that look like? A longer skater dress?

Whyarethebestnamestaken · 21/01/2018 16:13

Yes I think it is a slightly longer version of a skater dress and that DP link is nice but I really want full length sleeves.

I will be wearing it with black opaque tights.

You can get Sainsbury's clothes online so might be worth checking?

Whyarethebestnamestaken · 21/01/2018 16:44

Thanks Chinesechicken, I had ordered online and picked up instore and have now ordered an 8 but pretty sure it will be too small. When I pick up I will see if they have a 10 in store.

Have had a good look round but hard to find long sleeve A line dresses it seems that are not too mini in length.

Land send do fit and flare. So do Debenhams, house of Fraser, John Lewis - try these first as they stock the high street brands Hobbs, lol Bennett etc

Dorothy Perkins and oasis dresses are too short if you are 5’6” and want true knee length - voice of experience. You need a length of over 105cm.

I have had a look at a few websites now and can't see anything long sleeved and warm but will keep looking.

A couple of inches above the knee is ok but no shorter than that.

Thank you.

Boden do lots of these style - pricier than Sainsburys but look in sale bit and always vouchers off - that's how I afford them anyway

I echo Dorothy Perkins - they have a lot of fit and flare dresses.

However, I disagree about the length you need. I am 5ft 8 and a dress that is 105cm would be past my knee - to get knee length, I buy 100cm ones.
