Hello. I'm going to a family wedding later this year and I'd like to wear a suit instead of a dress. I'm going for an androgynous look rather than the way I've sometimes seen them worn - with just a bra underneath and glam heels. But I want it to look like I've made an effort and haven't just put on a work trouser suit. I probably don't want it to be black. Sorry, I don't know how to talk about clothes.
I wouldn't be wearing heels - was thinking some sort of slipper? and I would have either a crisp fitted white shirt underneath or some sort of patterned silk blouse.
I'm also 5 foot 9 and a size 12, if it makes a difference, though probably more like a 14 across the shoulders and boobs. And the wedding will be in autumn.
I have looked extensively online (I know the wedding's not for ages, I just feel like if I leave it till summer everything will be linen) and have seen a couple of things I like - Boden had a greeny gold velvet tux - liked the cut of the jacket and trousers, didn't like the colour.

There was a classic one at Reiss - loved the shape but I don't think I want black. Bit evening-y for a wedding.

Then there's these online made-to-measure places like sumissura, but their reviews differ so widely that I'm disinclined to take the risk.
Many thanks for reading this waffle, if you've got this far! I'd be grateful for any pointers at all.
