I bought this dress and really like it but I am someone who is usually cold (live in Scotland) and so I am wondering what I could wear with it? I tried on loads of cardigans but none looked good. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Love that dress, where's it from? It looks quite smart so wondering if a jersey blazer would work?

sadsack78 · 20/01/2018 22:27

That is so gorgeous! You'll look lovely. Some good thick tights, black knee length boots, and either a fitted jacket like Tatapie said, or maybe a wrap cardigan that would fit around the waist and make the most of the lovely skirt. Good luck :)

Brown knee length boots, or nude tights with nude/brown/grey /red shoes. Lovely dress

Would a little cropped cardie work?

Sorry, I didn't read the post properly. You could pull off a biker jacket with it too.

What about a white collared blouse worn underneath it? Or a white/cream polo neck ?

Starryskiesinthesky · 21/01/2018 08:47

Thanks everyone - it's Max Studio at John Lewis - £70. It is nice and not a style i usually wear as although i am a size 8 i have no waist.

I have a grey whistles fabric (cant think of the word!) blazer which i will try. It is too tight to have anything underneath and although it is knitted I was planning to wear it in summer as it is quite summery but i might also try it with boots and a ballet wrap although again they often dont look good on me.

Lots of things say they are good for people with no waist but i dont usually find that!

I did try wee short cardis but they looked wrong but i might try more with different fabrics - will report back and may even take some photos!

I don't think knee length boots would look right with this, I would definitely go for sandals with a dress like that, especially if you want it for summer. A short fitted cardi could work?

This kind of shape? (Don't know what colour you want but the shape could look nice).

Bridechilla · 21/01/2018 09:05

A merino (or very fine knit) delicate polo neck, maybe in cream or a complimentary colour

Bridechilla · 21/01/2018 09:05

Underneath obv Grin

Starryskiesinthesky · 21/01/2018 14:35

Thanks Wilbur I think that is a good shape for the dress - will have a look. Bride not sure if it's my age but I look terrible in a polo neck and I'm not sure that there's room for any thing underneath - even fine knits! Thanks tho!
