How to wear funky ankle socks?!

I've seen so many gorgeous socks in & other stories this season and am desperate to buy a load of them-but have no idea how to wear them?!

Any ideas?

I like the funky socks with brogues and cropped wide leg trousers.

Seriously, I like them with shoe boots, woolly tights and a skirt.

I have a few times braved clog sandals with socks. Mainly because the sandals (Swedish hasbeens) are mega uncomfortable and rip my feet to shreds.

Ooh yes, cropped wide leg trousers and brogues would be good...right, I need to invest in some brogues!
