Sneaky little greys

I've been reading the "whoops how did I get to look old/how can I look more together" threads on here and so this morning resolved to follow some of the easier bits of the advice.

  1. Shape nails and clear polish - check
  2. Bung on a primer after cleansing - check
  3. Shape eyebrows - clipped hair off face ready to begin and whoa whoa whoa where did those 7 billion curly grey hairs come from????! Have they been lurking under my half-fringe for months, safe in their den, or is this an overnight takeover? Agh.

I do colour my hair - perhaps not often enough! And if swearing on a bible, would admit I am not an unreasonable age to be attacked by greys. But. But! It feels like a sneaky betrayal Grin

Anyone else had this "overnight"???

Yes I was really unwell approx 2010 - 2012, started noticing first greys in 2013.
I was lucky in a way as I was 36 but my nan was completely grey by 25!!

I still have more blonde than greys & the greys are very scattered so I get my hair highlighted every 6 weeks which blends it all in really well.

My mum is grey, she's 68 and uses hair colours from boots to dye her hair blonde at home, my sister also uses brown home hair dyes.

But I only need highlights so I go to a salon.

I hope you're feeling well now. I have a small child and no childcare so I think back wistfully to the days I regularly had highlights...box dye at home will have to do for a bit longer!
