Please find me a top

I’ve bought a black sequin pencil skirt for a works do and need a top to go with it. Most people wear cocktail dresses but I couldn’t find one I liked.
I think a black cami would work but I can’t wear them as need a proper bra with thickish straps. So maybe a satiny vest top with wider straps. Preferably v neck so i can have a bit of cleavage.
Or something else entirely.
Please help.

OP says she needs a proper bra...

How about something like this. I would keep the top simple and let the skirt make a statement

Arket satin top with wide straps. They didn't have my size in store otherwise I'd have bought it for myself.

Thanks. I like the oasis one but can’t wear 1 shoulder.
The French connection is the sort of thing I normally wear so I might get it anyway but I think I wanted a bit of cleavage.
Not keen on the last one but thanks anyway.

Try a Bravissimo strappy top with built-in bra ...

I like the French connection one too. Cleavage (in just my opinion) is a bit dated anyway - I may just feel that way because I am lacking in the boob department thoughGrin

TickledOnion · 20/01/2018 00:31

You’re probably right about cleavage bananaplease. Mine is not what it was. I’m trying to cling on to my youth by showing what’s left of it off. Blush

How can cleavage go out of fashion? It's like saying legs are out of fashion. Anyway, what about a Boden ravello top OP? Or a silk blouse?

This is in the John Lewis sale at the moment

Hope the link works

Have a look in Reiss - they've got some nice came type tops. Not cheap but they look nice.
