I've had a new skincare regime recommendation back from The Ordinary - they have recommended an acid as part of the night time routine and have added a note to wear sun protection.

My question is - my daily foundation has spf 15 in it - is that good enough?

If not what spf do people use on their faces and at what point in the regime do you put it on your face? I find most suncreams very thick and gacky and I'm worried that putting them on my face daily will make me break out.

I use a moisturiser- first I put on serum but not all over just in certain places- I like Clinique smart repair serum- then I use Clinique superdefense spf 20 for combination oily to oily skin.
After that I put my B.B. cream on.

I find it protects my skin well and I can stay in the sun for up to an hour in the summer without getting burnt.

If I'm staying in the sun for longer then I wear a facial sun lotion by no 7 instead of my moisturiser.

I think my B.B. cream has an spf too but I don't put that everywhere so that's why I use a moisturiser with spf.

Clinique Superdefense is anti ageing as well and good if you live in a polluted area.

I'm 41 and get compliments on my skin so I must be getting it right.

I use The Ordinary regime and follow up with Heliocare 360 gel/cream. It is SPF 50 UVA & UVB but just feels like a regular moisturiser, no claggy sticky feeling like normal SPF's. I use it at the end with my rosehip oil.
