Bag Hardware: Silver vs Gold

Which one do you prefer?

I am a silver girl, cool-toned, always in black/white tops and jeans/shorts sneakers/sandals/flipflops and I am partial towards black bags with silver HW. However, there is a bag I like, nice discount, but there's only one stock available and in gold HW. If you were me, would you compromise?

Never. gold always looks cheap to me.

Have just bought a Coach bag with gold hardware, it;s gorgeous :)

Another no from me. I am the same colouring as you so prefer silver hardware but there is so little of it, its really irritating.

I prefer silver. I always think gold looks a bit cheap.

I like silver hardware but my 3 fave bags (my Alexa, Bayswater and fossil large person flap) are all gold hardware and I love them!

If you like the gold hardware on the bag, then go for it. If in doubt though, don't buy it.

I have no preference with regards to silver or gold hardware on a bag - it depends on the bag and the quality and colour of the hardware - there are many different kinds of gold colour hardware (from really pale gold to very yellow/almost orange toned), and the same with silver (from bright white-ish silver to pewter-toned). Then there's matte and shiny hardware as well, which changes the look massively as well IMO.

Go for it. Cute bag and the hardware is teeny, you can't even tell it's gold !

I prefer silver usually and just bought a gorgeous little quilted bag with silver (chain strap)
but I have seen a couple of bags with gold I quite like, depends on the bag really.
