Candles...

Ok stylish lot... where can I buy a cheapo fragrant candle that does really work? Is Yankee candle the only answer?

Sorry for putting this in style, not sure where else it’d go!

The M&S ones are pretty good in my experience

TK Maxx

Please don’t get Yankee 🤢🤮

Have a look in TK Maxx for a brand called This Works. Candles £12.99 reduced from around £30.

Body Shop ones are excellent! Not super cheap but probably on sale at the moment.

I'm not much of a one for festive fragrances but the winter berry / frozen berry one is absolutely divine! I strongly recommend it.

Long lasting and a beautiful fragrance.

The Range sells cheap and lovely candles

This Works candles get my endorsement too. You can actually smell them, unlike 90% of alleged scented candles, and the scents are beautiful, like a spa.

Other strong scents: Woodwick and Heathcote and Ivory (they tend to do collaborations with designers, so the candle will be under the designer’s name) which can often be found at TK Maxx.

Home Bargains do brilliant Yankee candle dupes!

RubbishMantra · 16/01/2018 13:18

Lily Flame are nice. Debenhams sell them, also some independent shops. The warm welcome one smells delicious, like freshly baked cookies straight from the oven.

Does it have to be a candle, or would a wax melt do? I followed a rec. on here and bought some from the Perfume Shack. Utterly gorgeous smell.

Thanks for the recommendations!! Am going to do some googling :)

Lily Flame are good. A good range of natural scents or the Royal Horticultural Soc ones are nice. Sold in Waitrose and online.
