Bad eyesight - any tips when doing eye makeup?

My eyesight is currently bad enough that when I take my glasses off to do my makeup I can't see my face in the mirror unless I'm just a few inches away.

Where I really struggle though is when doing my eyes.

I close my left eye to line it and can see well enough with my right eye but as soon as I close my right eye to do that one the sight in my left eye isn't good enough to see what I'm doing despite being as close to the mirror as possible.

Does anyone have a similar problem?

Any hints or tips?

I got laser eye surgery. Life changing!

Magnifying mirror - one of those ones on a stand that swivel round and have a light. So, normal mirror on one side, magnifying on the other, and a light round the outside so you can properly see.
Life changing!
Although, I just gave up on liquid liner as I still couldn’t see well enough to have it perfect, so now I use a pencil, and smudge it in....much more forgiving.

@Fabellini the pencil and smudged look is one I've been happy rocking for a while now.

I guess the issue has only really become more apparent since I was bought a lovely liquid liner for Christmas and I didn't realise how much I would struggle Blush

@thethoughtfox

This would be ideal!!!
If you don't mind me asking, how much did yours set you back and have you had any issues since?
