Make up advice - Indian skin

Hi all,

I am of Indian origin and have dark circles under my eyes. Because of this I wear two concealers under my eyes, then foundation and powder. However as i am getting older I need advice on two areas

  1. the skin area around my eyes look dried out by the end of the day.

  2. I could do with a bit of glow in my cheeks. What is a illuminator and is it worth it? Or go for a blush but what?? I use a bronzed when I go out but it is too much for everyday use.

Advice please!
Thanks

What is your skin colour? I’m Indian but am light skinned with pink undertones - my dark circles can be managed by bb cream. bobbi brown works the best for me. If you are lighter skinned an illuminator can work really well.

If you have darker / brown skin and yellow undertones try and find a stockist that specializes in black and asian skin tones. My cousin finds Iman works really well, as do Mac’s longwear concealer - but it needs an illuminating primer to set properly.

Suggest you get rid of the powder now.

I would say medium skin colour. I wear alot of Mac as that suits my skin colour.

I find Nars creamy concealer great, and non drying. There is a wide spectrum of shades so you'll probably find something that suits, I think mine is Custard. Agree you should ditch the powder.
