Pink bags!?

I know my partner loves pink and she already owns pink accesories/items of clothing etc.
For her birthday I was want to get her a bag, specifically a pink one. But I have never seen her or any other woman with a pink handbag in real life, is that not a done thing?

Would you wear a pink bag? Should I be safe a just get a black one,even though it would be less personal and require less thought?

Pink was a massive colour last year and I think it will be a great gift. I have a small very pale pink bag and it goes with everything black, navy, browns it is my go to for evenings outs, weddings etc.

For a day to day pink might show dirt but I would quite like one for summer.

Have a think about the colour of the coats and jackets she normally wears when considering the shade of pink.
