Skincare routine

Hello,

I'm 35 and have never had any form
of skincare routine apart from washing my face (with shower gel) and putting Nivea on before I go to bed and after a shower in the morning.

I'm starting to see myself ageing and thinking maybe it's time to start something a bit more elaborate.

What do you use and how much would you say it's costs monthly, or if less regularly, how often do you need to replace?

Thanks so much.

I think when it comes to skincare a good rule is "keep it simple, keep it safe."

I wash with a warm flannel (no product) in the morning and apply an spf moisturiser before putting on makeup. Occasionally i wear a primer under my foundation.

At the end of the day i slather on Ma Devlin's pure coconut oil and place a hot flannel over my face - melts the makeup right off and feels fab. Then I massage in a facial oil before bed.

I fell down the anti-ageing rabbit hole recently (I'm 30, but I used to smoke For years and I have bad genetics). Advice tends to be conflicting, products unneccessarily expensive, ingredients and information on what they do confusing...

You know what? I think I'd rather just learn to live with my wrinkles. It might be an unpopular opinion around here, but on the whole I think I'll be less stressed out (and financially richer) for it!
