Just had an email from Boden to tell me that I need this dress. Wow, it's hideous and all for the bargain price of £140. I love a bit of Boden but what were they thinking with this one?

Its very much like a Rixo dress which are v expensive . I really like it.

And I generally hate Boden

On the plus side, for everyone who has had this hideous monstrosity suggested, they clearly think that you can carry anything off, you are just that fabulous

OP - nobody needs that dress.

I feel less alone! They recommended me the most revolting mustard jumper with horizontal stripes. Yeah that's just what an apple-shaped woman who never wears mustard needs.

Why's it called a Sybil dress, because it looks like something Sybil Fawlty might have worn?

Both of those dresses are the epitome of Boden.

I don't dislike it! It reminds me of the dresses my aunt used to wear in the 70s. I like it but I wouldn't wear it cos it would not suit me at all.

Yeah - I like the Sybil one too. As a PP said, very Rixo which I like but can't afford.

Of course, Johnnie recommended an entirely different one for me!

I quite like it. As someone else said, it's got a 70's vibe to it and would look nice with tan boots (and maybe a Farah Fawcett type hairstyle 😉). Prefer it in the red/blue colourway though.

And yes, it'll be turning up on all the usual suspects Insta mums shortly.

I like them both but NOT in polyester (agree totally) and NOT for anyone with boobs (like me). I can spot boob unfriendly dresses immediately !!

Quite like the Sybil one but not in polyester. Feel sorry for myself now, I was recommended the non-offensive Annette dress that Holly Willoughby wore this week. It has even got some natural fibers in it!

I love this thread. It is giving me such a laugh. I think Boden have given up with me, as they're not recommending anything at all.
