Best skinny jeans

Can anyone recommend some decent skinny jeans?

My fav at the moment are probably the top shop Leigh jeans although I find the black fades so quickly.

Oasis jeans I feel are a little thick and go baggy round the knees.

Warehouse jeans I quite like but usually a bit long for me.

I’m 5’5 ish and a size of 10

Uniqlo Ultra-Stretch. Reasonably priced, good long legs (I'm a 34" inside leg so this is like the holy grail for me), not too low-riding so no muffin top. I wash and wear mine all the time and they keep their shape and their stretch beautifully. There's enough stretch that they're very comfortable too.

I just realised, It was Ridley I meant from ASOS, not Rivington! Blush

Marks and Spencers £19.50 ones. I'm an hourglass and they don't fall down, medium rise and real denim.

Can anyone suggest some jeans that are v tight around the calves? I'm tall, size 14 but slim legs and I like jeans to stay tight all the way to the ankles

HildaZelda · 12/01/2018 17:51

River Island Amelie for sure. Molly are fine, but they're more jeggings than jeans really.

lindyloo57 · 12/01/2018 18:42

bonzo77 can you tell me which lee jeans you got, sounds like we have same shape with slim hips, so most of my skinnies slip down. did look on lee website but there are lots of scarlott jeans with all sorts of names.

CharlieBoo · 12/01/2018 19:47

Also hate the RI Molly range... go baggy at the knees and don’t hold shape.. for low budget I really like the high waisted skinny jeans in new look called Yasmin I think.. last ages and they always gave offers on

Chicinwellies · 12/01/2018 21:06

River island molly jeans are dire on me. I’m an average 8, and handed these down to my daughter pronto

Dancergirl · 13/01/2018 11:34

I love the high waisted Fernham jeans from Jack Wills.

bonzo77 · 14/01/2018 08:04

@lindyloo57 they’re midrise skinny. I cut the label out so no further info!

DrRanjsRightEyebrow · 14/01/2018 08:05

second Lee Scarlett. So comfy. Some colours are softer than others so look at the fabric composition if buying online. Levis.

bonzo77 · 14/01/2018 08:06

Looking at the website I think they’re the regular waist skinny Scarlett.

rightknockered · 14/01/2018 10:57

I have a problem with my thighs. They are apparently out of proportion with the rest of me, but I don't think they're big Confused. My thighs measure 19 inches at their fattest, and my waist is 24. If I buy 24 inch jeans, they are very tight on my thighs, whereas a 26 fits my thighs but too big around waist and stomach. I really would love to find some made for thin women that have curves. Retailers seem to think that with a smaller waist size comes no curves, and I doubt I'm alone with this problem.

CharizMa · 14/01/2018 11:00

I am not going to buy any more skinnies now as they're like, so over {californian accent} :-p

With the jeans that slip down, I take them to the tailor and get the tailer to make darts along the waistband to make the waistband tighter, kind of like an invisible belt. It stops them slipping down. A few times lately if I went down a size I felt like they were sprayed on but the right size slips down and it's so annoying.

Fabellini · 14/01/2018 11:06

I used to always wear TopShop “Leigh” jeans too, but then I discovered their “Sidney” ones.
They’re thicker denim, keep their shape better, and just seem more flattering.
I very rarely see them in store though, but they have them online.

bonzo77 · 15/01/2018 21:55

@rightknockered similar problem here. Haven’t measured myself though. The Lee Scarlett I mentioned earlier are just right.

Ladiesfirst · 16/01/2018 17:06

sanity girl - am also 5'10 - the skinniest jeans from Boden in tall [maybe Soho?] and in general Boden jeans as they are thick, high waisted and the top of the thighs are nice and tight ... often can get for £30 in sale or £50 full price ... . Rag and Bone skinnies if splurging .
