Wedding in March...

I have been invited as a plus 1 to a wedding and i've no idea what to wear, given the season it will be in.

Any ideas? I am thinking a skirt/top combo. I don't want to look too dressy but want to look nice.

How can you look too dressy for a wedding? That is the time most people dress up.
A skirt and top sounds like your going to the office.

posh i guess it depends who it is and where it is, not all weddings are super dressy!

lucylouuu I have been to many different weddings in my time. Big expensive bling weddings, weddings on a beach,weddings abroad,simple register office weddings a whole spectrum of weddings and I have never seen any one wear a "skirt and
top combo" whatever that is. It just sounds like something you would wear to work

Skirt and top sounds scruffy for a wedding. But I guess it depends what your usual style is. I’m a dressy kind of gal so always wear a dress.
March can be like the darkest depths of winter or a beautiful spring wedding.
Is it daytime ceremony and breakfast or just evening do?

Can you share any details such as where in the country it is (Scotland is likely to be v different weather to Cornwall), and where the wedding and reception will be held (castle being different to barn being different to hotel)

I've seen penty of skirt/jacket combos at weddings, usually older women though.

Molly wear something that reflects your style and flatters your shape or you will feel uncomfortable in it. If you give people some pointers as to these they will be better able to help you.

i don't these ( although not something i would wear ) look scruffy or like you're going to an office! a top and skirt could look nice OP just depends what it's like i guess, obviously not a black pencil skirt and a suit jacket
