Salylicic acid AHA and bastard HIVES

After doing my research and bearing in mind I don’t have sensitive skin, I bought a weekly salylicic acid serum. I tried it two nights ago and my face has been full of hives yesterday and today.

Is this my skin getting used to a new product or do I have to stop using it, it was bloody cheap!

Check the ingredients in it, to see which one you could possibly be having a reaction to. I have never had hives after using an acid. Take a break from anything that irritates, use an oil in the meantime, and bin the product. Or use it on your kneed or elbows if you like. (That is what I do)
