I'm thinking of buying some Nars bits on Strawberry net, are the products genuine, they're a good bit cheaper than buying at a makeup counter?

I've bought from there dozens of times (I qualified for their 10% discount, which you get after making 20 purchases, many years ago).

It's all been genuine however bear in mind many products they sell are long discontinued so may not be that fresh. Also, some products may have been produced for other markets, so occasionally there can be some slight variations to products because of that.

I bought a product that I’d used as part of a spa treatment, and which I couldn’t easily find for sale in the uk, from Strawberrynet.

It was genuine (the brand wasn’t well known enough to warrant being faked on a large scale) but beware the customs charges! My parcel was impounded by the post office and I had to pay (I think) £12 to release it. Which wiped out my savings I’d have made buying stuff from Strawberrynet if I’d gone for widely available brands like Nars.

The Strawberrynet stuff is despatched from Hong Kong I think. Buried deep in their website is guidance about how you can get them to refund customs charges...you have to scan your customs bill then send them a whole load of other info. I did, and I chased it, but they never refunded it. Lesson learned! I haven’t bought from them since.

I only used them once, products were genuine but as with Nettle I had to pay a customs charge so didn’t really save anything.

Didn't know about the customs charges will be avoiding, was too lazy to go to the next town for Nars! I'll have to now, less hassle!

Yy about the custom charge.

Also, I'm very careful with my email address but once I placed an order with them I suddenly started getting inundated with spam emails so I suspect they sell your email address on.

Just about the customs charges - I've had charges a couple of times with packages from Strawberrynet but they've always refunded me whatever I paid. I just had to email a pic of the charges label, it was very straightforward. This was a while ago but it's definitely worth contacting them.

Totally agree about it often being dc/old LE stock though so it's not always fresh.

I was charged custom duty so haven't ordered from them since.

They refunded my customs charge, didn't expect them to honour it but they did. Would use them again.

The products are absolutely fine. You can get caught with customs but the one time I did I was refunded. Have had a couple of friends get caught too and they both got refunds.

I’ve been buying from them for years now. Customs charges always refunded too.
I had an issue with one item, a mascara that was quite dry on opening. They refunded me for it and paid for me to ship it back to them.

Right now nothing I buy regularly is cheaper on their site so I have not bought anything for a while.
If only they would remove the purple ribbons from their packages, more stuff would make it through customs un-noticed, I reckon!
