Hair takes SO. LONG. TO. DRY! (thick and curly)

I have very thick, coarse curly hair. I'm growing it out but its still very short, longer lengths barely reach the bottom of my ears. I use the Curly Girl method and wash with conditioner every 3-4 days. Its looking better than it has done for years

Dear lord though it takes so frigging long to air dry! I conditioned it at 6.45am, put curl cream in, wrapped in microfiber towel for about 20 mins and then unwrapped and left it. The roots are STILL wet! I've been in a nice warm office for most of the day. Drives me potty. I have tried diffusing in the past but I don't get anything like as nice a result as if I air dry. I just wish it didn't take all damn day!

Anyone got similar experiences and how do you manage?

Mine is fine and stilll takes an age to dry!

I'm also a Curly Girl and agree it does take forever.

Have you tried a 'bonnet' drier - something like this - less disruptive to your hair than a diffuser but you do have to be sitting still to do it.

Green, that looks fun! Have you used one?

Yeah. I have a similar one - really cheap but has lasted for a year or so intact. I know that some do tend to pop off the end of your dryer though.

It does look a bit silly, but I'm old enough to be past caring!

I have thick curly hair and do curly girl , mine can take 6 hours to dry so I don't wash it that often 😬😬.. I wear it up and wash it about every 4/5: days .
