Unbudgeable eyeliner reccs?

Anyone have one?!

I prefer pencil to liquid but maybe liquid has more staying power?

I do have an eye primer jobbie (heinously expensive one from NARS) that helps but I have very oily lids I think and it seems like there's nothing that can prevent eyeliner from descending, usually the line under my eyes, from about 2pm every day... I look like a panda by 7pm!!

I've been using an NYX pencil, but all the pencils I've ever tried have the same result. MAC were just as bad when I used to use them, Clarins are just dire full stop, Laura Mercier cost a bomb but same thing.

Any advice much appreciated! I'm focussing on the French look for 2018, thanks to MN S&B, so being able to wear daily eyeliner would be ideal! I look a lot better with good eyeliner too, I just need a way to make it last longer.

Llamasqua precision liquid eyeliner in intense black. It's the best I've ever tried and I've been sporting eyeliner wings every day for nearly 10 years!

JessiCake · 08/01/2018 09:53

Thanks Fabala!

Is the Illamasqua one easy enough to apply? I'm not great with liquids...

The Marc Jacobs eyeliner was recommended on This Morning as being good for staying on.
I bought one and although better than others I still end up with black under my eyes every day.
I don't have eyelashes so that might be the reason why!

I've been loving Bobbi Brown Gel liner, it's in a small pot, and it stays all day.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 08/01/2018 10:16

I like Nars Larger than life and Bobbi Brown gel pencils.

FabalaTheGreenGirl · 08/01/2018 13:21

Jessi I find it easy but if you're not used to liquid it might be a bit much. Pixi eyeliner has good staying power and smudges nicely (in the good way!)

Auldspinster · 08/01/2018 14:51

It's liquid but Gosh liner would survive a nuclear winter.

DontCallMeJohnBoy · 08/01/2018 14:56

I use the Maybeline Master Ink liquid eyeliner which won't budge for anything.

I tend to use a cheapy gel pen to do an inital line as a guide and then add the Master Ink on top.

Strummerville · 08/01/2018 16:49

I love Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner, it stays all day but is also easy to remove. I have it in black mauve shimmer and in cobalt ink, both nice.

lennonj · 08/01/2018 16:54

I've always had this problem but I've just started using Estee Lauder double wear eyeliner and its still on at the end of the day. I've tried so many others but they just slide into my eye crease!

Bluesheep8 · 08/01/2018 16:58

I recommend this all the time when asked this question, clinique quickliner for eyes. I too have very oily eyelids and this really does stay put...I often try to tell myself that perhaps the positive of having oily eyelids is that maybe they might crepe/ wrinkle less with age!

Trills · 08/01/2018 17:00

I like the Eyeko one that is like a felt-tip pen. Kat Von D one is good too, but a thinner pen, so depends on what you want to draw with it.

Used to use the Bobbi Brown gel one that you apply with a little brush, but this is easier.

MeganChips · 08/01/2018 17:00

Seventeen Tattoo Me for a liquid which is bombproof and more importantly, back in stock! It was discontinued but apparently back by popular demand. Plus, it’s a fiver.

Pencil, I like the Avon glimmersticks.

TacoFlavouredKisses · 08/01/2018 17:32

The Collection Extreme 24hr felt tip type pen liner is surprisingly great given how cheap it is!

Bluesheep8 · 08/01/2018 18:59

Oh Yes, avon glimmersticks-they're good too, as is boots no 7 stay perfect eyeliner pencils....

stoplickingthetelly · 08/01/2018 20:07

If you prefer a pencil the Lord and Berry waterproof one is very good.

Gullane · 08/01/2018 20:13

I second the Seventeen Tattoo Me and then MACs twisty up black pencil eyeliner. They’re both utterly everything-proof.

Botanicbaby · 08/01/2018 21:51

you just need one thing: kat von D tattoo liner

its not a gel liner pot with separate brush (which i used to normally use, estee lauder or bobbi brown) but looks like a felt tip pen (which I used to hate).

you'll never look back Wink

JessiCake · 09/01/2018 09:10

Thanks everyone!

I think I'm going to be bold and try a (cheap) liquid like the 17 one and see how I get on with it.

Though I'm sorely tempted by the Laura Mercier little pot...

Thanks hugely for all the info and glad I'm not the only oily one...

The 17 Tattoo Me has incredible staying power but - obviously - it's hell to take off. If it gets in your eyelashes it's like picking off gloss paint. Teen DD gets on great with it tho!

Loungingbutnotforlong · 09/01/2018 09:22

The Marc Jacobs gel pencil is brilliant- v easy to apply and great staying power.

Kitsharrington · 09/01/2018 09:24

Yes the Marc Jacobs gel pencil does not budge.

PickleSarnie · 09/01/2018 09:25

Another one for Bobbi Brown gels. I have a Laura Mercier one in an awesome bright blue but it never stays where it's supposed to. The Bobbi Brown ones are pretty hard wearing though.

tellitlikeitispls · 09/01/2018 09:34

yep I agree with 17 tattoo me. The only issue I have with it, is that I haven't found a decent eye makeup remover to get it off easily. I really don't like rubbing my ageing eyelids. I think I'll start a new thread for that actually...

Arscal · 09/01/2018 09:47

Marc Jacobs Magic Marc’er waterproof eyeliner does not budge! It really does stay completely put but then is easily removed with eye makeup remover, no rubbing required. It’s great.
