Why is my hair still greasy? After all that I do to avoid grease?

I only feel good if my hair is clean and styled and after one day my hair feel greasy but why??

I don’t use conditioner anymore, except on the very odd occasion.

I throughly wash it, not just the top and sides as I mistakenly did in the past.

I use a really good clarifying shampoo once a week.

I bought a Dyson hairdryer to avoid over brushing and styling.

Yet still after a day my hair feels greasy, especially the underneath section. I don’t wash it everyday, I don’t have time but my second day hair feels a bit shiny and if I were to leave it a third day, it’d be an oilslick.

Does anyone have the answer to clean hair? Apart from washing it everyday!!

Hard water. When I lived in a soft water area I only needed to wash my hair weekly.

You can't over wash your hair, nor does it make it more greasy. It's all about how much oil your scalp produces and you can't do anything about that. Wash it as often as you like - those saying otherwise simply don't have such oily scalps. The less you touch your hair the less the oil will be pushed through it, but that's about it. Dry shampoo helps and if your hair is curly / darker it won't show as much. The only respite I ever had was a year of roaccutane when I could leave my hair for a week without it looking greasy - and that was because all the oil had gone!

There are advantages to having hair (and skin) that are on the oily side. Your hair will be healthier and your skin won’t get wrinkled as quickly.

I have to wash mine every day too, but that’s fine with me. Hair picks up dirt from the atmosphere so I’d want to wash it daily in any event.

I try to run four days a week and as I sweat quite a bit, always wash my hair on my run days. Can anyone recommend a good shampoo for frequent washes?

Any shampoo is fine for daily washing. Daily isn't 'frequent' though, it's pretty normal.
