Perfume parlour recommendations?

After seeing posts on here I decided to order from the Perfume parlour, I ordered lady million which lasts about 1 minute! And Dior pure poison which lasts ages!

Anyone recommend other scents that lasts from this place?

You need the oils, not the sprays.

Lady Portraits (Portrait of a Lady) really lasts. I love it. Good if you like rose based perfumes. I have the spray so the oil might last even longer.

I also bought two oils: Bronze Goodess (Bronze Goddess by Estee Lauder) which is not particularly long-lasting and Flower Boombs (Victor Rolf Flower Bomb) which does last.

Have a look at the Perfumista thread - there's quite a bit of chat about Perfume Parlour in the last couple of pages.

I've particularly enjoyed Rive Gauche, Prada Infusions D'Iris, Paloma Picasso, TF White Orchids and Acqua di Palma Mandorlo do Sicilia.

Ah I ordered the sprays thinking they were the same thing !Confused

What's the thread cheap?

all the jo malone oil dupes smell of toilet fresheners. Just missing key notes that render them as sophisticated as Glade scents.

Pjsdontfit · 06/01/2018 21:02

Ok I'll dodge jo malone then.

But what are the good ones?

Best niche perfumes I’ve had are:

Tom Ford Tabacco Vanille
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540
Tom Ford Santal Blush
Creed Virgin Island Water

All very close to originals and some have better longevity than originals. Obviously it depends on your tastes and these are nothing like lady million or poison. I prefer the sprays and they last on me.

To make your perfume last longer be sure to moisturise your skin (use non scented moisturiser). Also when you spray leave to dry naturally- do not rub your wrists together. Also spray a little over hair, collar and cuffs.

PJs it's the negligees covered in cat hair one Grin

I prefer the PP versions of Jo Malones as they are much longer lasting. I have an obscene number of PPs but the best for me have been:
Rive Gauche
Opium
Sahara Noir
Jo Malone Wood sage seasalt thingy (can never remember the order)
Prada Infusions d'Iris
Paloma Picasso

I prefer the sprays to the oils as a roll on is faffy. Most of the sprays I've found to be just as long lasting as the oils.

They all smell totally different...

TF tabacco vanille smells of what it says and is wonderful but errs on the masculine side (it’s a bestseller)

Baccarat Rouge is sweet and Rose but is well balanced so not cloying, it’s very unusual and beautiful (in my opinion!)

Creed Virgin Island is all coconuts and lime and fresh

Santal Blush is musky and woody but feminine
