Tights falling down

onedayatatime73 · 06/01/2018 16:33

Dd is really tall and so her tights fall down around the waist. Is there any handy device that can help clip (?) the waist band in?

I was tall and skinny as a teen and had the same problem , I wore a pair of knickers over the tights to stop them falling down.

MsHomeSlice · 06/01/2018 16:36

just buy a bigger size?

Even when I was a size eight I'd have to buy XXL tights for the length

Jassylaunderette · 06/01/2018 16:43

Where are the tights from, too? The poor quality (e.g. supermarket tights) always fall down far too easily. Agree with sizing up for the length

specialsubject · 06/01/2018 17:02

Buy a giant size. I've got short legs for my height and tights were always too short for me, they are a classic of ' its for females so we can make it crap'.

Holdups are good.

clutteringfunt · 06/01/2018 17:09

I always put a pair of black knickers over the top of mine and it stops them falling down.

TipBoov · 06/01/2018 17:14

It's because they are too small, although you'd think it would be because they are too big! Just size up.

peachypetite · 06/01/2018 17:14

Tights only fall down when they are small. Get a bigger size

RavingRoo · 06/01/2018 17:17

You buy tights based on height (or leg length) not waist size. Get good quality ones that explain this on the label (M&S body sensor is good as are Pretty Polly and Aristoc). To give you an example - my sister who is a size 6 and 5ft 7 and my friend who is a size 16 and 5 ft wear the same size.

Sorry should have said dd is 5. Maybe I should have put this in parenting? Sorry.

5, 15 or 25, the principle is the same: get her bigger tights Grin

doghairinmytea · 06/01/2018 20:27

I always pants/tights/pants.

elQuintoConyo · 06/01/2018 20:32

I did pants+tights+pants and they fell down in the middle of a busy shopping centre. I'm 42. I wouldn't recommend that for anyone!

Oohparcel · 06/01/2018 23:44

Try H&M tights - found those good for tall, skinny daughters.

idontlikealdi · 06/01/2018 23:46

Size bigger than she is.
