New suede jacket care?

On the care label it just says 'dry clean only' but should I spray it with some kind of protector before wearing it?

You can get suede protector; it's well worth it. I treated some suede boots I own and they have been great competed to a pair I didn't great. The rain rolls right off them and they are more stain resistant.

What did you use Passthestarmix? I have suede shoe spray and wondered if that was just the same thing to use for jackets.

It was just a run of the mill suede protector spray i picked up from a shoe shop. I'd had it in my cupboard for far too long. It was great. I think it it's as in a grey can. Sorry I can't be of more help.
