Having a beer in a bar with dh when a very chic woman came in wearing pointy black slingbacks with a nude patent toe, and under them what looked like nude/beige socks with a single vertical neon orange stripe. The socks (tights? no idea) were made of what looked like very fine opaque cotton in a good nude beige like a light-to-medium makeup foundation (ie not American tan or pink or peach). They had a fully fashioned heel like vintage stockings in a slightly darker colour and the neon stripe went down the middle of the front and up the middle of the back.
She was also wearing the perfect fitted black jumpsuit so I just saw the ankle/foot area of the sock. The whole effect was just unutterably stylish so of course I was too intimidated to ask her about them.
Does this ring a bell for anyone? I've googled quite a bit but can't find these socks or anything that looks even a little like them.
